The Finest Venting

There are two large windows - one at  in the door and  on the other end.  The roof openings are oversized and installed offset so your greenhouse will allow airflow to enter from any direction.  Except for extreme temperatures the vast majority of our customers find that there is no need for an expensive fan system.

After researching the market for the best automatic opening system, we selected a European system.  When your greenhouse has this type of automatic vent openers installed, you can be assured that when the internal temperature reaches the preset limit your roof vents will automatically open to the appropriate height for proper venting.

Heating

Heating your greenhouse is simple. Heating is only necessary during very low temperature at night. Your heat source can be either electric or gas and should be 1500 watts or 5000 to 6000 BTU's. There are even ways to heat with solar energy. Whatever your choice of heating device, it must have a thermostat and a small fan to move the heat around.

THE FOUNDATION

The Simply Solar Greenhouse has a stabilizing lip completely surrounding the inner dimensions. We provided this unique lip to eliminate a costly foundation. You can put the savings of the foundation into plants that will give you years of enjoyment. Most purchasers of our greenhouses take delivery and then cut in the foundation trench. The ground foundation also provides growing space, evaporative cooling, heating, and a humidity source. A layer of wood chips in the greenhouse will act as a cold barrier, increase humidity. With the ground as a foundation you add strength to the walls, and being below grade the wind tends to flow over the greenhouse. It is a classic wind design.

What's so special about
 our greenhouses?

The manufacturing  process - a special formula and the Gothic Arch design is what makes our greenhouses so unique.  Millions of chopped fiberglass fibers bond together with special hot resin to reflect all available light.

The result of this fiber-optic phenomenon is no shadows.  Light is reflected to every inch of the interior, causing a heat and light buildup in  cold weather, allowing you to grow at all levels.  You get three times the growing space! This surround light effect causes everything to get the same amount of light while allowing the ultra-violet screening agent and smooth outside surface to provide a 90% block of the burning rays of the sun, even if your greenhouse is set in full or partial sun.
